We Listen

"I'm amazed at the time that they take to consult with me, counsel me on my health options, and encourage me to live a better, healthier life."

In traditional medical offices, you’ll get an average of just 7 minutes of face-to-face with your provider. At Phoenix Family Medicine, our appointments are at least 30 minutes to 60 minutes.

We find better solutions.

“They took their time with me to make sure all of my of my questions were answered and all of my health care needs were addressed.”

You are unique. You have a unique body, unique challenges, and unique goals. Since we spend more time with our patients, we have the time and resources to research, discover, and implement a care plan that is as unique as you are!

We produce better outcomes.

“Great care. Very personalized for my needs.”

To our team, success is seeing you and your family live full, healthy, thriving lives. It is not about just helping when you’re sick, it is about creating a path towards wellness together.

What is direct primary care?

Care, The Way It Was Meant to Be

Do you feel lost? Forgotten? Do the medical needs of you and your family feel entirely eclipsed by the desires of the insurance-medical complex?

Trust us, you are not alone. It is easy to think medical care MUST be confounding, confusing, and expensive. If you’re like many people, you pay your premium every month and still don’t know what you’re getting in return.

At Phoenix Rising Family Medicine, we know the system. Most of us worked in it for years. We saw the frustration on our patient’s faces. We felt it. We knew there had to be a better way to deliver better care to more people at a price the average family could afford.

We found the solution through a model known as Direct Primary Care.

Direct: We don’t work with insurance companies. This gives us total freedom to work directly with you, the patient. Plus, we don’t spend valuable time and resources filling out paperwork, hoping to get reimbursed, which keeps our costs low.

Primary: Studies show that over 85% of medical needs can be addressed at the Primary Care level. And, in reality, the cost of addressing those needs is low. You should not have to shovel enormous premiums to your insurance company to have easy, unlimited access to a provider.

Care: As our patient, you don’t pay a third party. You pay us directly. That means we work for you. It means we care for and about you and your family. No one else. Our goal is simple: provide you, the patient, the best care possible. Through the Direct Primary Care model, we have the time, resources, and (most importantly) freedom to achieve that goal.

So, if 85% of the care occurs at the Primary Care level, what about the other 15%? You might wonder, “What if I need lab work done? Or need to see a specialist? What if I get hit by a bus and need to go to the hospital?”

In modest cases, we work directly with other providers to find you great rates on lab work, specialists, and other procedures we don’t do in our office. For those extreme cases (surgeries, accidents, etc), you may want to carry catastrophic coverage or join a medical cost sharing program.

We are a team of providers who escaped the system. Yes, it was scary. But it was easily the best decision we have ever made.

Escape with us! It could be the best decision you ever made, too. For you and your family.

Dani Dupuis

MSN, APRN, NP-C

Born in Oregon, I love all things outdoors.  From backpacking to kayaking and mountain biking, you’ll find my family in the mountains during our beautiful Oregon summers. I knew I was going to be a nurse at age 12. I completed my bachelor's in nursing At OHSU in 2007 and spent eight years in acute care before graduating from Gonzaga University in 2015 with my master's in nursing. As a nurse practitioner, I struggled to find joy and satisfaction as a provider in the healthcare system.  In 2016, my Husband Joel and I founded PRFM to create a space where providers have autonomy to deliver individualized care. This empowers providers to partner with their patients and make wellness goals a reality. I love my role at Phoenix Rising Family Medicine because we continue to create a unique setting where this partnership is possible.

Kira Biron

MSN, APRN, NP-C

My desire to become a Nurse practitioner started in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where I was a bedside nurse for almost 10 years. As a Staff Nurse in the ICU, Resource Nurse to my peers, and Rapid Response Nurse for the entire hospital,  I have seen firsthand how chronic disease and lifestyle choices affect patients and their families. My experience, coupled with my passion, has brought me right where I want to be.

Lisa Nechanicky

Administrative Assistant

I was born in Idaho, raised on the Oregon Coast and spent 16 of my adult years in Montana. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to return to the beautiful state I loved and missed, and have been back for 9 years. I have two fabulous kids, Ethan (currently attending OSU), and Sighni (a ballet and Irish dancer), and the most amazing husband I could ever ask for!

Chelsea Kehoe

Front Office Specialist

I have 4 children: Braden, Kaeden, Cadence, and Korrin. I am happily married to my amazing husband, Kevin of 11 years and we currently have a small piece of Heaven in Stayton. My family and I enjoy camping, riding dirt bikes, and riding in our side by side; basically anything outdoors! My family is one of the most important things to me and we are all very close.
